This Privacy Policy describes how SkyMate ("we", "us", "our"), operated by Jose Caceres, collects, uses, and protects your information when you visit our website at www.skymate.tech (the "Website") and use the SkyMate AI VFR Companion software application (the "Software").

By using the Website or Software, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

When you purchase the Software, the following information is collected through our payment processor, Lemon Squeezy:

  • Full name
  • Email address
  • Billing address
  • Payment information (credit card or other payment method details)

This information is collected and processed directly by Lemon Squeezy. We do not store your payment card details on our servers. We receive your name, email address, and transaction details so that we can deliver your license key and provide customer support.

1.2 Information Collected by the Software

The SkyMate application does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data or usage information. The Software operates locally on your computer and does not send telemetry, analytics, flight data, or any other information back to us or to third parties.

The only network communication performed by the Software is license key validation at the time of activation.

1.3 Information Collected Automatically Through the Website

When you visit the Website, certain information may be collected automatically through standard web technologies:

  • Hosting provider logs: Our website hosting provider (Vercel) may collect standard server logs, including your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, and pages visited. This data is governed by Vercel's privacy policy.
  • Cookies: The Website may use essential cookies required for basic functionality. Third-party services embedded on the Website (such as the Lemon Squeezy checkout) may also set their own cookies.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we receive for the following purposes:

  • To process your purchase and deliver your license key.
  • To provide customer support and respond to your inquiries.
  • To send transactional emails related to your purchase (e.g., order confirmation, license key delivery).
  • To detect and prevent fraud or unauthorized use of license keys.

We do not use your information for marketing or advertising purposes unless you explicitly opt in to receive such communications.
